Doctoral School of the University of the Balearic Islands
The Doctoral School of the University of the Balearic Islands (EDUIB) was established by the Governing Council at its meeting on 22 November 2011. It is a unit of the UIB participated by the R + D & I agents of the University (research groups, departments, university research institutes and other research centers owned or participated by the UIB) as well as external research centers, including public research institutions, foreign institutions and companies with R + D + i departments. Its main objective is the organization of the doctoral studies.
The Doctoral School implements policies emanating from the university's strategic plan linked to the conversion project to an International Campus of Excellence, particularly in the areas of attraction and training of talent, internationalization and the pursuit of excellence in the research activity.
Mission and Vision
The mission of the EDUIB is to provide an academic and administrative organizational model around doctoral studies in order to ensure the quality of academic offer, management efficiency and to encourage research excellence, ensuring a strong international presence, with the aim of consolidating the UIB as a reference university in research training.
The vision of EDUIB is that of an efficient environment for the training of researchers, acting as a node of talent attraction and connection of international scientific collaborations in these areas.
