Temporary Leave
- When does this procedure need to be done:
At any time, except during registration period, and as long as the last review has been passed.As a general rule, temporary leave cannot be requested when the annual review process has been 'opened' on the postgraduate platform or during the period between a suspended review and re-taking it.
In no instance shall a temporary leave requested be processed in the last six months of the standard attendance period for the PhD programme. - Documentation to submit:

Sick Leave, etc.
PhD students may request leave from the PhD programme for health reasons, maternity, etc.

Renewal and Write-up Year
Renewal

Before the end of the standard programme attendance period. - Documentation to submit:

Write-up Year
- When does this procedure need to be done?
Before the end of the renewal year. - Documentation to submit:
- An updated research plan approved and signed by the thesis tutor and supervisor(s).
- A document setting out the objective reasons explaining how the thesis will be ready to deposit in the write-up year, signed by the student, tutor and supervisor(s).

Rejoining the PhD Programme
- When does it need to be requested?
After the temporary leave, sick leave, etc. is finished. - This is an online procedure via the application: <https://postgrau.uib.es>.
- Once your reincorporation is approved, you will need to contact the admin services at the EDUIB to formalise registration.
